Lorevina is built on artificial intelligence. This page explains what it reads, who reads it, what it cannot do and how you can tell what is AI. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Lorevina reads your photos with AI to describe scenes, mood, activity and the health signs a photo can show. It does not diagnose medical conditions.
Lorevina sends your photos to Claude, made by Anthropic, to read them. Under our agreement, Anthropic may not use your photos to train its models.
The app asks once, before the first photo is read: on the Import screen when you start or, if you skip the import, the first time you add a photo. We may change or add AI providers over time. When we do, we will update this page and our Privacy Policy and, where the law or app store rules require it, ask again.
It reads your pet, never the people. Readings do not name, rank or describe anyone who appears in a photo. Mobility is not read from photos; it comes from your weekly check-in. Weight is only ever what you enter.
A health sign opens only once there are enough usable photos for it, and until then it shows that it is still checking. Readings that hold carry their evidence, such as the number of photos behind them. Readings the AI is unsure of are held back or worded as uncertain. Any concern Lorevina notices is shown on every plan, free included.
Lorevina cannot diagnose disease, see anything inside the body or replace a veterinarian. Every health observation carries the same line: worth mentioning at your next vet visit. If something looks urgent, contact a veterinarian now rather than waiting for a pattern.
Weekly portraits and chapters are signed "understood", the mark of a finished AI reading, and every reading in the app links back to this page. Your notes and corrections are always marked as yours. When you correct a reading, your correction sits on top and the original is kept. How readings are written depends on your plan and settings: Observer is plain and factual, Storyteller turns the same observation into a short piece of writing. What was observed is the same either way.
Every photo you add is read; that is what builds the record. There is no separate switch to turn reading off. To stop it, delete your account in Settings. Everything is deleted permanently 30 days after you confirm. Until then, support can restore it.
AI can make mistakes. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or unexpected, and can be affected by image quality, lighting, angle and other factors. They may miss a change or suggest one that did not happen. Outputs are for your personal information only, and you are responsible for how you use them.
We may change the AI systems, models, providers and features we use. We will keep this page current.
